Extractive Industry

Quarries and mines are critically important to the delivery of infrastructure. When operators establish greenfield developments or extend extractive industry sites, they require honest, transparent engagement with surrounding communities.

Extractive Industry

Quarries and mines are critically important to the delivery of infrastructure. When operators establish greenfield developments or extend extractive industry sites, they require honest, transparent engagement with surrounding communities.

CPR Group provides strategic advice, communications risk assessment and management and stakeholder identification and engagement. We are adept at operating in complex technical and politically volatile communication environments where it is critical to manage corporate reputation, emergent issues and community and political expectations.

CPR Group communications programs and stakeholder engagement reports inform strategic decisions about:

  • Environmental management planning

  • Communications management

Skilled in the formulation and communication of key messages through external stakeholder networks, CPR Group demonstrates respect for local values and sensitivity towards residents on behalf of our clients.

Stakeholder scrutiny of industry operations and compliance continues to intensify. Stakeholder expectations have matured and extractive industry operators who promote dialogue with neighbours and other interested people, openly sharing information on anticipated impacts and proposed strategies for mitigation, can develop credibility, trust and acceptance.

Careful risk assessment and management, within the structure of a rigorous regulatory environment, underpin our programs.

Stakeholder engagement and project facilitation programs are customised to integrate with extractive industry operators’ corporate communications plans, existing partnerships, sponsorship arrangements and corporate social responsibility policies.
